About MoCoSAR

In 2020, several local SAR responders came together and approached Monroe County EMA about creating a multi-agency training group to expand the SAR training opportunities in the county. Since then, MoCoSAR has been offering monthly training activities.

Training Together

MoCoSAR is not a search team. It is a training program that allows search and rescue specialists from various Monroe County agencies and volunteer groups to train together. it is a force multiplier when we have common training standards and familiarity with one another.

MoCoSAR

MoCoSAR is a volunteer training cooperative providing coordinated search and rescue training and support for Monroe County agencies and partners. We are not a SAR team. Our members deploy at the request of their agencies or through mutual aid to other agencies. All request for SAR should be routed through Monroe County Central Dispatch (911) and the agency having jurisdiction.
